Disney Junior is an Indian pay television channel dedicated towards pre-schoolers that launched on 15 October 2012. It is also available as a programming block on Disney Channel that replaced India's Playhouse Disney. The channel is the Indian equivalent to the original American network and telecasts in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. History Before 2006, Playhouse Disney was launched in India as a block on Disney Channel. On 4 July 2011, it was replaced by Disney Junior. On 15 October 2012, Disney Junior launched as a Channel. Hungama TV is an Indian television channel aimed at children, mainly showcasing Japanese and Indian animated series. It was launched on 26 September 2004. The Hindi word "hungama" means 'ruckus' in English. It is owned by Disney Star. The channel primarily airs Japanese kids animes with some other children's television series. History UTV and Ronnie Screwvala formed United Home Entertainment with 51% and 49% ownership interests, respectively. The company was formed to launch an Indian kids channel. ''Doc McStuffins'' is an American educational computer-animated children's television series created and executive produced by Chris Nee (an Irish-American who was an associate producer for international versions of Sesame Street) and produced by Brown Bag Films which aired on Disney Channel and Disney Junior from March 23, 2012, to April 18, 2020. The series centers on a girl who can "fix" toys, with help from her toy friends. It features songs written and composed by Kay Hanley and Michelle Lewis.
