Discovery Travel & Living is a defunct channel brand from Discovery Communications. This name was used in countries of Europe, Latin America and Asia. In other parts of the world the channel is known as Travel and Living Channel. It features travel shows rather than the documentaries on Science Channel, Discovery Science. Discovery Travel & Living was launched as Discovery Travel & Adventure Channel. In early 2005 it was repositioned and rebranded as ''Discovery Travel & Living'' as a part of a "lifestyle" package from Discovery Communications, also including Discovery Home & Health and Discovery Real Time. Discovery Travel & Living recently announced they are going to Sky Television (New Zealand) and Freeview (New Zealand), Freeview service in the near future. TLC India is an Indian television channel, previously known as Discovery Travel & Living. It focuses on lifestyle programmes, with topics such health, cooking and travel. The channel launched in October 2004 and was the first international channel launched under the "Discovery Travel & Living" name. Much of the schedule was taken up by programmes about real estate, most notably '' A Place in the Sun'' and its spinoffs, as well as ''House Doctor''. TLC is a Southeast Asian pay television channel that was launched in June 2001 as Discovery Travel & Adventure. It was the third channel launched by Warner Bros. Discovery in the region. It was initially focused on providing travel-related entertainment. On 1 January 2005, the channel was rebranded as Discovery Travel & Living and received new programming. Freeview is New Zealand's free-to-air television platform. It is operated by a joint venture between the country's major free-to-air broadcasters – government-owned Television New Zealand and Radio New Zealand, government-subsidised Whakaata Māori, and the American-owned Warner Bros.
