Warner Bros. Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery that operates several television channels in Asia and Australasia, along with the Discovery+ streaming service. In April 2022, WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks Asia Pacific (founded in 1989) merged with Discovery Asia-Pacific (founded in 1994) after their owners, WarnerMedia (then owned by AT&T before being spun off), merged with Discovery, Inc. It has consequently been announced that Discovery+ will become one with HBO Max. A subsidiary, subsidiary company or daughter company is a company owned or controlled by another company, which is called the parent company or holding company. Boomerang (Asian TV Channel)
Boomerang is a pan-Asian cable television, cable and satellite television, satellite television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery under its International division. Like Boomerang (TV network), the original US version, this localization first began as a programming block that aired on Cartoon Network (Asian TV channel), Cartoon Network Asia (from 2001 to 2005), before becoming its own channel in 2004. On 1 December 2012, the channel was shut down and replaced with Toonami (Southeast Asian TV channel), Toonami Asia. CNN International Asia Pacific is the Asia-Pacific edition of the CNN International pay-TV cable network. The feed originates from Hong Kong and Indonesia. CNN International Asia Pacific officially launched on 1 August 1989. Cartoon Network Korea () is the South Korean version of the original United States television channel, which launched on 11 November 2006. It is owned by Warner Bros. TLC is a Southeast Asian pay television channel that was launched in June 2001 as Discovery Travel & Adventure. It was the third channel launched by Warner Bros. Discovery in the region. It was initially focused on providing travel-related entertainment. On 1 January 2005, the channel was rebranded as Discovery Travel & Living and received new programming. Food Network Asia
Food Network is a Southeast Asian pay television channel that airs both one-time and recurring (episodic) programs about food and cooking from the Food Network's library as well as commissioned programming developed regionally. It was launched on 5 July 2010. The channel itself is not available in South Korea. But under a special agreement, Food TV (a nationwide pay TV channel) is carrying programmes from Food Network by simulcasting the pan-Asian version and airing the shows recorded from the channel in particular time slots.
