''Disco 3'' is the third remix album by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 3 February 2003 by Parlophone. The album consists of five remixes of songs and B-sides from their previous album, ''Release'', three new tracks, a new recording of "Positive Role Model" from their 2001 musical '' Closer to Heaven'', and a cover version of "Try It (I'm in Love with a Married Man)", originally by Oh Romeo, the band of former Pet Shop Boys producer Bobby Orlando. "Positive Role Model" also appeared on the Germany-only single "London" in 2002 as a B-side. "If Looks Could Kill" and "Try It..." debuted during a 2002 Peel Session, along with "A Powerful Friend", a song that remained unreleased until it was uploaded to the "Exclusives Tracks" section of the band's official website. It was also released as the b-side to their 2010 single "Love Life". As of May 2006, the album had sold 42,000 copies in the United States. The Pet Shop Boys are an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1981. Consisting of primary vocalist Neil Tennant and keyboardist Chris Lowe, they have sold more than 50 million records worldwide, and were listed as the most successful duo in UK music history in the 1999 edition of ''The Guinness Book of Records''. Oh Romeo
Oh Romeo was a Hi-NRG concept group created by the Hi-NRG mogul Bobby "O" Orlando in 1982. Composition Besides Bobby Orlando, who figured in all releases of the group, there were different session singers and models used for each release. Throughout its existence, Oh Romeo was managed by Joseph Lodato and Lee Borden, who worked in labels associated with Bobby Orlando. Lyrics Bobby Orlando was responsible for writing the lyrics of the group. While some of the lyrics were published under his name, others were published under the Orlando pseudonym "C. Shore". C. Chase (Clifton "Jiggs" Chase) cowrote "Saving Myself for the One that I Love" with Bobby Orlando. "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" is a song recorded by American singer and songwriter Barry White from his third studio album, '' Can't Get Enough'' (1974). The song was written by White, Tony Sepe and Peter Radcliffe and produced by White. It reached number two on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number one on the UK Singles Chart. "Home and Dry" is a song by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 18 March 2002 as the first UK single and the second US single from their eighth studio album, ''Release'' (2002). It reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart and number 44 on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart. One of the B-sides, "Sexy Northener", was also released as a promotional single in the United States and peaked at number 15 on the US dance chart, but never received a commercial release. The song is known to Pet Shop Boys fans for its unusual video, directed by Wolfgang Tillmans, primarily consisting of footage of mice running across tracks and eating discarded food at Tottenham Court Road Underground station. Felix da Housecat (born Felix Stallings Jr., August 25, 1971) is an American DJ and record producer, mostly known for house music and electro. Felix is regarded as a member of the second wave of Chicago house Musical career Early life Stallings developed an interest in the emergent Chicago house music scene at a young age. Christopher Sean Lowe (born 4 October 1959) is an English musician, singer and songwriter, and co-founder of the synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, which he formed with Neil Tennant in 1981. Biography Lowe attended Arnold School, an independent school in his home town Blackpool, Lancashire. Whilst at school, he played trombone in a seven-piece dance band called One Under the Eight that played old-time favourites like " Hello Dolly", " La Bamba" and " Moon River". Lowe's grandfather had been a trombonist and was a member of comedy jazz troupe The Nitwits. Lowe also learned to play the piano. Neil Francis Tennant (born 10 July 1954) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and music journalist, and co-founder of the synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, which he formed with Chris Lowe in 1981.
