Dirk Abels
Dirk Abels (born 13 June 1997) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for Swiss Super League side Grasshopper Club Zürich as a right back. Club career Abels made his professional debut for Jong PSV in the Eerste Divisie on 9 August 2014, the opening matchday of the 2014–15 season, against Achilles '29. In June 2016, he signed a contract extension with PSV until 2018. He made his first team debut on 30 October 2018, in a 3–2 loss at home to RKC Waalwijk in the KNVB Cup after extra time. Abels signed with Sparta Rotterdam in January 2019, where he won promotion to the Eredivisie via play-offs in his first six months. Udenhout
Udenhout is a village and a former municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located northeast of Tilburg, north of Berkel-Enschot and south of the National Parc Loonse en Drunense Duinen. The municipality of Udenhout (including the village of Biezenmortel) was independent until 1997, when it became part of the municipality of Tilburg. Biezenmortel became part of the municipality of Haaren. Udenhout preferred to join the municipality of Loon op Zand, but was nevertheless assigned to Tilburg. The municipality consisted at the time of abolition in 1996 9,028 inhabitants and was 26.87 km2. During Carnaval Udenhout is called: "d'n Haozepot". History The village was first mentioned in 1233 as Odenhout. The etymology is unclear. Udenhout is a linear road village which started to develop at the end of the 18th century. 2017–18 Eerste Divisie
The 2017–18 Eerste Divisie, known as Jupiler League for sponsorship reasons, was the sixty-second season of Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1955. It began in August 2017 with the first matches of the season and ended in May 2018 with the returns of the finals of the promotion/relegation play-offs, involving also the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2017–18 Eredivisie. Teams A total of 20 teams took part in the league. 2016–17 Eerste Divisie champions VVV-Venlo gained promotion to the Eredivisie, and was replaced by Go Ahead Eagles, who finished bottom in the 2016–17 Eredivisie. NAC won the post-season playoff, and were replaced by NEC. Also, Achilles '29 were relegated and replaced by Tweede Divisie champions Jong AZ who became the fifth reserve side to feature in the second tier of Dutch football.
