The Director of Communication and Public Affairs ( sv, Kommunikationsdirektör, KOMDIR, previously ''Informationsdirektör'', INFODIR) is the director of communications of the Swedish Armed Forces, in charge of Public affairs (military), public affairs. KOMDIR, which heads the Communications Department (''Ledningsstabens kommunikationsavdelning'', LEDS KOMM, previously called the Office of Communication and Public Affairs (''Informationsstaben'', INFOS), is an administrative position based at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters in Stockholm. Brigadier General (BGen) ( sv, Brigadgeneral, Bgen) is a one-star commissioned officer rank in the Swedish Army, Swedish Air Force and Swedish Amphibious Corps. Brigadier general ranks immediately above colonel and below a major general. The rank is equivalent to rear admiral (lower half) in the Swedish Navy. The military subdivisions of Sweden refers to the division of Sweden's territory with regard to the command possibilities, mainly in war. The subdivisions are different depending on Sweden's military doctrine. The subdivision can apply to both land and sea territory. Sverker Göranson
Sverker John Olof Göranson (born 3 May 1954) is a Swedish Army general with an armoured forces background. In 1995, he was the chief of staff of the Nordic battalion within UNPROFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Yugoslav Wars. Göranson was Inspector of the Swedish Army from 2005 to 2007, and served as Chief of Defence Staff from 2007 to 2009. General (Sweden), General Håkan Erik Gunnar Syrén (born 31 January 1952) is a retired officer of the Swedish Coastal Artillery/Swedish Amphibious Corps and former Chairman of the European Union Military Committee. There are 21 regional councils (one of which is a municipality having the same responsibilities as a county council), each corresponding to a county.
