Dion Miles
Dion Miles (born 9 August 1978) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne Football Club, North Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL). Miles played his early football at Chanel College (Geelong), Chanel College in Geelong and competed for the Western Jets in the TAC Cup. A midfielder, he played reserves football with North Melbourne in 1997 and won their best and fairest award. Miles made his debut for the North Melbourne senior side in round 11 of the 1998 AFL season, against Collingwood Football Club, Collingwood at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. He had seven disposals and kicked a goal. His only other appearance in the AFL came the following week, in North Melbourne's loss to Richmond Football Club, Richmond at the same ground. Later that season, Miles injured his knee and had to have a knee reconstruction. He never played another senior game for his club. Richmond Football Club
The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Between its inception in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond in 1885 and 1907, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), winning two premierships. Richmond joined the Victorian Football League (now known as the AFL) in 1908 and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020. The ''Ballarat Courier'' is a newspaper circulating in the Ballarat region of regional Victoria. It is published daily from Monday to Saturday. In 2021 the editor is Eugene Duffy. The newspaper is owned by Australian Community Media. History In 1867, Robert Clark and Edward J.Bateman established ''The Courier'' under the name of Bateman Clark & Co. The first office was located on the south side of Sturt Street, east of Albert Street. In 1871 the office moved to 24 Sturt Street and in 1889 the Clark and Bateman partnership dissolved, with Clark becoming the sole proprietor. Bacchus Marsh Football and Netball Club is an Australian rules football and netball club, located in Bacchus Marsh in Victoria, Australia. The football squad competes in the Ballarat Football League, which is part of the Victorian Country Football League. The home ground of Bacchus Marsh is Maddingley Park, located to the south of Bacchus Marsh. History The club was originally two clubs: the Bacchus Marsh Tigers who wore a black guernsey with a yellow strip going diagonally from top left to bottom right, and the Maddingley Spiders who wore a black guernsey with a red strip going diagonally from top left to bottom right.
