The Roman Catholic Diocese of Puerto Plata ( la, Dioecesis Portus Argentarii) (erected 16 December 1996) is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Santiago de los Caballeros. The diocese is located in the province of Puerto Plata, in the northern section of the Dominican Republic. Puerto Plata, officially known as San Felipe de Puerto Plata, is the third-largest city in the Dominican Republic, and capital of the Provinces of the Dominican Republic, province of Puerto Plata (province), Puerto Plata.
