	Alan Dimmick Alan Dimmick (born 2 June 1961) is a Scottish photographer living and working in Glasgow. He is best known for documenting the Glasgow art scene. Early life Dimmick was born in Glasgow in 1961, and was named after astronaut Alan Shepard. He attended Hyndland Secondary School between 1973 and 1979 and the College of Building and Printing, now part of City of Glasgow College, between 1979 and 1982. After a short period spent working at the Mitchell Library and the Southern General Hospital where his father was a neuroscientist, Dimmick moved into a flat with rock band Del Amitri, which is where his work of documenting the art and music scene began. He was also encouraged by Scottish photographer Oscar Marzaroli. 	Mary Dimmick Harrison Mary Dimmick Harrison ( Mary Scott Lord; April 30, 1858 – January 5, 1948) was the second wife of Benjamin Harrison, the 23rd president of the United States. She was nearly 25 years younger than Harrison, and was the niece of his first wife. Biography Born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, as Mary Scott Lord, she was the daughter of Russell Farnham Lord, chief engineer of the Delaware and Hudson Canal (later known as the Delaware and Hudson Railway), and his wife Elizabeth Mayhew Scott. On October 22, 1881, she married Walter Erskine Dimmick (July 4, 1856 – January 14, 1882), a son of the attorney-general of Pennsylvania and brother of future Scranton mayor J. Benjamin Dimmick. He died three months after their marriage, leaving her a widow at age 23. A niece of Caroline Harrison, she in 1889 moved into the White House to serve as assistant to the First Lady. 	William Harrison Dimmick William Harrison Dimmick (December 20, 1815 – August 2, 1861) was an American politician from Pennsylvania who served as a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Pennsylvania's 13th congressional district from 1857 to 1861. Biography William H. Dimmick (brother of Milo Melankthon Dimmick) was born in Milford, Pennsylvania, the son of Dan Dimmick, a lawyer and Jane, daughter of Jacobus Josephus Aerts, also known as Dr. Francis J. Smith. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1835 and commenced practice in Bethany, Pennsylvania. He moved to Honesdale, Pennsylvania, in 1842 and continued the practice of law. He served as prosecuting attorney of Wayne County, Pennsylvania, in 1836 and 1837. He was a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 10th district from 1845 to 1846. Biography Milo Melankthon Dimmick (brother of William Harrison Dimmick) was born in Milford, Pennsylvania. He pursued classical studies, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1834 and commenced practice in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Dimmick was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-first and Thirty-second Congresses.
