Dimitris Kravaritis
Dimitris Kravaritis ( el, Δημήτρης Κραβαρίτης, born 28 March 1972) is a retired Greek water polo player who played his entire career for Olympiacos. He is the current head coach of Greece Junior national water polo team, whom he led to the bronze medal at the 2015 European Games at Baku and the current assistant coach of Greece men's national water polo team as well. He is also the head of Olympiacos Water Polo Academy. As a player, Kravaritis played his entire career for Olympiacos, where he won numerous titles including the 2002 LEN Champions League. He was also a member of the Greece men's national water polo team. After his retirement, he became head of Olympiacos Academy. Thodoris Vlachos
Theodoros "Thodoris" Vlachos ( el, Θοδωρής Βλάχος; born 9 July 1969, in Volos) is a retired Greek water polo player and the current coach of the Greece men's national water polo team. As a player, Vlachos played for Olympiacos from 1989 to 1998, winning numerous titles. He was also a member of the Greece men's national water polo team. After his retirement, he became assistant coach of Olympiacos under coaches Dragan Matutinović, Zoltán Kásás and Veselin Đuho. He became Olympiacos head coach in 2011, following a successful stint as head coach in Palaio Faliro. Under his guidance, Olympiacos won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League in Genoa, after a 9–7 win against home team Pro Recco in the final and completed a Triple Crown, winning the season's all available titles. Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into the opposing team's goal. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep pool where players cannot touch the bottom. A game consists mainly of the players swimming to move about the pool, treading water (mainly using the eggbeater kick), passing the ball, and shooting at the goal. Greece Men's National Water Polo Team
The Greece men's national water polo team represents Greece in international men's water polo competitions and it is organized and run by the Hellenic Swimming Federation. Greece has a long tradition of strong presence at international level, with their major successes being the two bronze medals won at the World Championship in 2005 and 2015. The Greeks have also won a silver medal at the World Cup in 1997, three bronze medals at the World League in 2004, 2006 and 2016, as well as one silver (2018) and four bronze medals (1951, 1991, 1993, 2013) at the Mediterranean Games. Moreover, they have closely missed a medal in the 2016 European Championship, the 2004 Olympic Games, the 2003 World Championship and the 1999 European Championship, ending up in the 4th place in all four of them.
