Dimitrios Flionis
Dimitris Flionis (alternate spelling: Dimitrios) ( el, Δημήτρης Φλιώνης; born April 8, 1997) is a Greek professional basketball player and the team captain for AEK Athens of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. He is a 1.90 m (6 ft 2 in) tall combo guard. Professional career Flionis began playing basketball with the junior youth teams of Aris Thessaloniki. He began his pro career with the senior men's team of Aris in 2015, by playing in his first career official game at the pro level, during the Greek Basket League 2014–15 season's playoffs. On June 30, 2018, Aris announced that they had rescinded their contract extension offer towards Flionis. However, four days later, on July 3, the team and the player officially agreed on a new two-year deal. During the 2019-20 season, Flionis averaged 4.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. A.E.K ( el, AEK , formally Αθλητική Ένωσις Κωνσταντινουπόλεως; Athlitikí Énosis Konstantinoupόleos, ''Athletic Union of Constantinople''), known as A.E.K, is a major Greek multi-sport club based in Nea Filadelfeia, Athens. 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship
The 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship (Arabic: بطولة العالم لكرة السلة 2014 تحت 17 سنة ) was the 3rd edition of the FIBA Under-17 World Championship, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U17 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. It was hosted by Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 8 to 16 August 2014. This edition of the tournament was also expanded to sixteen teams. The preliminary round took place in Al-Ahli Arena and Al-Wasl Arena, with the Hamdan Sports Complex hosting the final round. This was the first FIBA U17 World Championship that was held outside of Europe. The United States won their third consecutive title by defeating Australia, in a rematch of the last edition, 99–92 in the final. Combo Guard
A combo guard is a basketball player who combines the attributes of a point guard (1) and shooting guard (2), but does not necessarily fit the standard description of either position. In men's basketball, such guards are usually within the 6' 3" (1.91 m) and 6' 5" (1.96 m) height range. Most combo guards tend to be between point and shooting guards in terms of height, although some possess the height of a point or shooting guard specifically which affects how each plays.
