Slav
The Slavs or Slavic people are groups of people who speak Slavic languages. Dumitru Dragomir (26 October 1884 – 20th century) was a Bessarabian and Romanian politician. He was a member of Sfatul Țării and voted the Union of Bessarabia with Romania on 27 March 1918. Dimitrie Onciul
Dimitrie Onciul (26 October / 7 November 1856 – 20 March 1923) was a Romanian historian. He was a member of the Romanian Academy and its president from 1920 until his death in 1923. Biography Onciul was born in Straja, at the time in the Duchy of Bukovina, Austrian Empire, now in Suceava County, Romania. He studied at the University of Czernowitz, where he was active in Arboroasa and then in Societatea Academică Junimea, and at the University of Vienna. In 1884, he received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Czernowitz. He became a professor at the University of Bucharest and director of the National Archives of Romania. He was the first chairman of the Advisory Heraldic Commission. Together with Ioan Bogdan, Onciul founded a school-of-thought in Romanian historiography that approached history critically. Dimitrie Maimarolu
Dimitrie Maimarolu (1859 in Bucharest – 1926) was a Romanian architect, whose designs featured French Beaux-Arts style. He came from an Aromanian family, with roots in Macedonia. He studied architecture in France, first with Julien Guadet and from 1881 at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. After graduating in 1885, he returned to Romania and is named architect for the Interior Ministry. Promoted to architect-in-chief in 1887, he held the position until 1892. By 1898 he was working for the Agriculture Ministry, developing the Bibescu Garden in Craiova. Dimitrie Macedonski
Dimitrie Macedonski ( 1780 or 1782–1843) was a Wallachian Pandur captain and revolutionary leader. Life Dimitrie was born in Ottoman Macedonia, as the son of Stoyan Mincho (Stogiannis Mintsos), a local chieftain. After the Russo-Turkish wars in the late 18th century the family of Mincho emigrated beyond the Danube. Dimitrie joined the Russian army and became a military officer. He adopted the surname "Macedonski", which referred to his home place. According to the Romanian historian Radu Florescu Dimitrie was of Bulgarian origin. Dimitrie Lovcinski () was a Bessarabian politician. He served as the second, fourth and sixth mayor of Chişinău (, "Head of the city") between 1825 and 1830, 1834-1836 and 1843-1845 respectively, when Bessarabia was a part of the Russian Empire. Dimitrie Leonida Technical Museum
The Dimitrie Leonida Technical Museum was founded in 1909 by Dimitrie Leonida, inspired by the Deutsches Museum, München Technical Museum, he had visited during his studies in Charlottenburg Polytechnic Institute. In 1908, with the help of the first promotions of mechanics and electricians from his school, the first in Romania, Leonida collected the first objects for the museum. Dimitrie Leonida (May 23, 1883–March 14, 1965) was a Romanian energy engineer. Born in Fălticeni, his father Atanase was a cavalry officer, while his mother (née Gill) was the daughter of a French building engineer. He had seven surviving siblings, and despite the family’s financial difficulties, all had distinguished careers, including Elisa Leonida Zamfirescu and Gheorghe Leonida. Frequently moving due to Atanase’s profession, Dimitrie ultimately graduated from Mihai Viteazul National College in Bucharest. He then entered the Technische Hochschule Charlottenburg, graduating with distinction in 1908. Dimitrie Gusti
Dimitrie Gusti (; 13 February 1880 – 30 October 1955) was a Romanian sociologist, ethnologist, historian, and voluntarist philosopher; a professor at the University of Iași and the University of Bucharest, he served as Romania's Minister of Education in 1932–1933. Gusti was elected a member of the Romanian Academy in 1919, and was its president between 1944 and 1946. He was the main contributor to the creation of a new Romanian school of sociology. He was a prominent member of the Peasants' Party, and later of the National Peasants' Party into which the former had merged.
