Dimitri Scarlato
Dimitri Scarlato (born 21 April 1977) is an Italian composer and conductor, based in London. Early life and education He received his degree in Composition, Conducting and Score Reading in 2004 at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome while studying privately Jazz Piano and Classical Piano. After his studies in Rome, he studied conducting with Milen Nachev and Alexander Polyanichko in Saint Petersburg. In 2004 he moved to London in order to pursue a Master’s in Composition at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. In 2014, he was awarded a Doctorate in Composition at the Royal College of Music, which in 2010 selected him as an RCM Rising Star. Film and theatre scoring In 2003 he composed the music for the musical ''Piaf…l’Hymne à l’Amour'', directed by Carlo Lizzani. Conservatorio Santa Cecilia
The Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia is a state conservatory in Rome. History The institution has its roots dated back to the Congregazione de' musici di Roma named after Saint Cecilia in 1565 (now Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia). Since the early 19th century there was need of a music school in the institution. It was only due to the pianist Giovanni Sgambati that led to the opening of the musical institute on 23 May 1870. In 1911, the Liceo Musicale became an independent entity, and was nationalized in 1919. Only after, it assumed its current name. Since the 2008/09 academic year, the conservatory also operates at the Parco della Musica Villa Battistini in Rieti. The branch at Sant'Andrea delle Fratte was inaugurated on 1 October 2013. Manoel Theatre
( Maltese for "Manoel Theatre"; it, Teatro Manoel) is a theatre and important performing arts venue in Malta. The theatre is often referred to as simply "The Manoel", and is named after Grand Master of the Order of the Knights Hospitaller, Fra António Manoel de Vilhena, who ordered its construction in 1731.
