Dilek Akagün Yılmaz (born 1963) is a Turkish politician. Life Dilek Akagün was born to Ali and Ümmü in Külköy village of Karahallı ilçe (district) in Uşak Province, Turkey in 1963. In 1984, after completing the School of Law of the Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir, she began working as an attorney in Uşak. She is the charter member of the Uşak branch of Human Rights Association. She is also a member of ''Atatürkçü Düşünce Derneği'' ( Atatürkist Thought Association) and the ''Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği'' ( Association for the Support of Contemporary Living). She is married to Fuat Yılmaz, and the mother of two. Politics In 1988, she joined the Republican People's Party (CHP). Karahallı
Karahallı is a town and district of Uşak Province in the inner Aegean region of Turkey. Karahallı district area neighbors those of two other districts of the same province to the north, namely Ulubey and Sivaslı, and to the south those of two districts depending Denizli Province which are Çivril and Bekilli. Karahallı center is at a distance of from the province center of Uşak lying to its north. The district has fourteen depending villages, namely; Alfaklar, Buğdaylı, Beki, Çoğuplu, Çokaklı, Delihıdırlı, Dumanlı, Duraklı, Külköy, Kaykıllı, Kırkyaren, Kavaklı, Karayakuplu and Paşalar. Association for the Support of Contemporary Life ( tr, Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği) is a non-profit NGO in Turkey. The main office is in İstanbul and there are 103 branch offices nationwide. The association helps girls across Turkey to obtain an education, ultimately promoting gender equality. History Association for the Support of Contemporary Life (abbreviated ÇYDD) was founded on 10 February 1989 by a group of Turkish female academicians headed by Aysel Ekşi in İstanbul. Next year Türkan Saylan was elected as the chairperson of the ÇYDD; from then on she became the symbol of ÇYDD. In the same year branch offices of ÇYDD began to be opened in other cities. Atatürkist Thought Association
The Atatürkist Thought Association ( tr, Atatürkçü Düşünce Derneği; ADD) is a secularist organization that espouses the ideas of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey. It was founded by Hıfzı Veldet Velidedeoğlu, Muammer Aksoy, Hüsnü A. Göksel and Bahriye Üçok. The association is opposed to the Islamist tenets enacted by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in Iran and wants to ensure that religion and state remain separate in Turkey. The organization is known for initiating court cases against web sites which insult Atatürk, or with links to sites that insult Atatürk. It is credited with organising the 2007 Republic Protests.
