Digital Europe Programme
The Digital Europe Programme (DEP) is a fund of the European Union which supports the completion of the Digital Single Market by connecting Europe through 'digital bridges' (Digital Service Infrastructures) for the benefit of citizens, businesses and public administrations. It promotes the vision of public services being not only digital by default but also cross-border by default. The programme was established in 2021 by splitting off parts of the ''CEF Digital'' digital infrastructure arm of the Connecting Europe Facility programme. Overview The programme concerns two types of Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs): * Sector-specific DSIs deploy complex trans-European digital services based upon mature technical and organisational solutions: eProcurement, Cybersecurity, eHealth, eJustice, Online Dispute Resolution, Europeana, Safer Internet, Open Data. * The DSIs known as building blocks provide basic and re-usable digital services. Connecting Europe Facility
The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is a European Union fund established in 2014 for infrastructure investments (in particular the Trans-European Networks) across the union in transport, energy, digital and telecommunication projects, which aims at a greater connectivity between EU member states. It operates through grants, financial guarantees and project bonds. It is run by the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency and then by the Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. eIDAS (electronic IDentification, Authentication and trust Services) is an EU regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the European Single Market. It was established in EU Regulation 910/2014 of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and repeals 1999/93/EC from 13 December 1999. It entered into force on 17 September 2014 and applies from 1 July 2016 except for certain articles, which are listed in its Article 52. Innovation And Networks Executive Agency
The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) was an executive agency established by the European Commission in order to run the Connecting Europe Facility and parts of Horizon 2020, with legacy programmes of the TEN-T programme and the Marco Polo programme. It superseded the Trans-European Transport Network Executive Agency (TEN-T EA) on 31 December 2013. The Agency was in charge of all open TEN-T projects. ---- The European Climate, Environment and Infrastructure Executive Agency (CINEA) is the European Commission agency which manages decarbonisation and sustainable growth.
