Digi Communications, also known as RCS & RDS, is a Romanian telecommunication holding company operating in Romania, Hungary, Spain and Italy. Digi was founded by Zoltán Teszári, who is the majority owner, and it is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 16 May 2017. In 2019, Digi had a market share of 51% in Romania and the vast majority of its subscribers are connected via fiber, a process which was started in 2006. This has had a major contribution to Romania's status as a country with one of the highest fixed broadband internet speeds in the world. Digi International is an American Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology company headquartered in Hopkins, Minnesota. The company was founded in 1985 and went public as Digi International in 1989. Digi-Key is a privately held American company that distributes electronic components. Headquartered in Thief River Falls in the U.S. state of Minnesota, the company is the fourth largest electronic component distributor in North America and the fifth largest electronic component distributor in the world. Founded in 1972 by Ronald Stordahl, its name is a reference to the "Digi-Keyer Kit", a digital electronic keyer kit that he developed and marketed to amateur radio enthusiasts. Digi Telecommunications or Digi.Com Berhad ( d.b.a. digi; ), is a mobile service provider in Malaysia. Its largest shareholder was Telenor ASA of Norway with 49%. On 24 May 1995, Digi became the first telco in Malaysia to launch and operate a fully digital cellular network. They were also the first to offer GPRS (2.5G) and later EDGE (2.75G) in Malaysia on 14 May 2004. DiGi primarily uses the 1800 MHz band for GSM with the network code of 502-16. Digi is listed on the Bursa Malaysia under the Infrastructure category act. It uses the native dialling prefix identifier of "010", "011 16000000 through 16499999", "016", "0143", "0146" and "0149", although with the implementation of mobile number portability mandated by the Malaysian government this does not apply to subscribers who switched from their old mobile service provider over to Digi.
