Digha–Sonpur Bridge
The Digha–Sonpur bridge ( hi, दीघा-सोनपुर पुल) or J. P. Setu ( hi, जेपी सेतु) is a rail-cum-road bridge across river Ganga, connecting Digha Ghat in Patna and Pahleja Ghat in Sonpur, Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is named after Indian independence activist Jayaprakash Narayan (J. P.). The rail-cum-road bridge provides easy roadway and railway link between northern and southern parts of Bihar. It is a steel truss bridge. Regular scheduled passenger rail service was inaugurated on this route on 3 February 2016. This bridge of length is the second longest rail-cum-road bridge in India, after Bogibeel Bridge in Assam. Patliputra Junction, Station code (PPTA), is a railway station in the Rukanpura area in the West End of Patna, Bihar. The station, which is governed by East Central Railway and managed by Danapur railway division, lies on the Patna–Sonepur–Hajipur section. Patli Path (also known as AIIMS-Digha elevated corridor) is an elevated road in Patna, the capital of Bihar. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on 30 November 2020. At the time of inauguration of this elevated road, it was the longest elevated road of Bihar and seventh in India. This 12.47 km-long elevated road connects J.P. Setu towards Phulwari Sharif and vice versa. Around 8.5 km of the road is elevated structure and the remaining 4 km stretch of road is semi-elevated.
