Barbara Diethelm (born 12 April 1962 in Zurich) is a Swiss painter, drawer and producer of artists' colours. Education Since her early childhood colour has played a major role for Barbara Diethelm and she developed a sensitivity for colour and an appreciation for the use of paint. After finishing college in Zurich, she moved to the United States in 1982. She studied graphic design from 1983 to 1985 and fine arts until 1988 at San Antonio College under the instruction of Mel Casas, Mark Pritchett and Tom Willome. At the same time, she studied Humanities and Business at the St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She continued studying painting and printmaking from 1988 to 1990 at the San Francisco Art Institute under the instruction of Sam Tchakalian and Ivan Majdrakoff. During that time, she devoted herself to Far Eastern philosophy and yoga, which has reflected in her artistic work from then on. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he earned his best individual finish of seventh in the 4 × 10 km relay at Lillehammer in 1994 and had his best individual finish of 30th twice (50 km: 1992, 10 km + 15 km combined pursuit: 1994). Pascal Diethelm (born 1 December 1944) is a Swiss econometrician and tobacco control activist who is the president of the anti-smoking organization OxyRomandie. He formerly worked at the World Health Organization (WHO) from 1970 until his retirement in 1999. Career At the WHO, he developed a database to monitor smoking prevalence rates around the world. When he retired from the WHO, he was its headquarters chief of networking and telecommunications in Geneva, Switzerland. In the 2000s, while working at the University of Geneva, Diethelm discovered that the Swedish scientist Ragnar Rylander had been serving as a secret consultant to the tobacco company Philip Morris since the 1970s. Diethelm, along with his colleague Jean-Charles Rielle, were subsequently sued for libel by Rylander after they accused him of "scientific cheating without precedent". Diethelm von Eichel-Streiber (10 August 1914 – 13 May 1996) was a German Luftwaffe officer in the Spanish Civil War and World War II. During the Spanish Civil War, he flew with ''Kampfgruppe'' 88 of the Condor Legion as an air observer. During World War II, he became a fighter ace credited with 96 aerial victories. With the exception of two aerial victories claimed over the Western Allies, the majority of his aerial victories were achieved on the Eastern Front.
