Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Austria, with the song " I'm Alive" performed by Elhaida Dani. Its selected entry was chosen through the national selection competition Festivali i Këngës organised by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) in December 2014. Dani emerged as the winner of contest with the song "Diell", which was withdrawn as the Albanian entry at the request of one of the song's songwriters. To this point, the nation had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest eleven times since its first entry in . In the first of the Eurovision semi-finals "I'm Alive" placed tenth out of the 16 participating countries, securing its place among the 27 other songs in the final. "I'm Alive" is a song by Albanian singer and songwriter Elhaida Dani. It was released as a single on 1 January 2015 by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) and Universal Music. The song was written by Sokol Marsi, arranged by Darko Dimitrov and produced by Zzap & Chriss. The song represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Austria, after Dani won the pre-selection competition Festivali i Këngës with the song " Diell". The country reached seventeenth place in a field of twenty-six scoring a total of 34 points marking the third year to achieve the seventeenth place. In order to promote and support the song, Dani made diverse appearances to perform the song and embarked on a small tour in the Netherlands, North Macedonia and the United Kingdom. Festivali i Këngës (; ), also referred to as simply FiK, is an annual music competition in Albania organised by the national broadcaster Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH). Broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1962, it has also determined the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004. Various singing presentations have been used throughout its history, beginning with radio-only interpretations in the first few years, live performances, playback, remakes, and even duets featuring other singers. David Tukiçi
David Tukiçi (born 1956, Shkodër, Albania) is an Albanian composer and singer. He also holds Italian citizenship. At 13, he won the 1969 edition of the Festivali i Këngës në RTSH as a singer and then pursued composition training notably with Çesk Zadeja, who was himself a pupil of Dmitri Shostakovich. From 1982 to 1992, he was the director of Radio Televizioni Shqiptar's symphonic music. At the École normale de musique – Alfred Cortot de Paris, he studied with Michel Merlet and Dominique Rouits. Bledar Sejko
Bledar Sejko (born February 19, 1971) is an Albanian guitarist, composer, and singer who represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö with his song " Identitet", which he performed with Adrian Lulgjuraj. According to Sejko, the song includes combined motives from Northern Albania and Chameria.
