''Die letzte Kommune'' (''"The Last Commune"'') is a 2013 written play in German language by Peter Lund (lyrics), with music by Thomas Zaufke and was specifically written for GRIPS-Theater, Berlin. Peter Lund
Peter Lund (born 30 December 1965, in Flensburg) is a German theatre director, playwright, and author, as well as Professor for Acting at Berlin University of the Arts. He has pioneered the New German Musical at the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin. Life & Career Lund was educated in Flensburg and in Berlin, where he studied architecture. Since 1985 he has been active as a theatre director and author, e.g., in Braunschweig, Hannover, Darmstadt, Bremen, Hamburg, Basel, Innsbruck and Vienna. His focus lies on opera, operetta, and musical theatre. In 1985 he founded the performance ensemble ''Gruppe Comp&Co''. From 1996 to 2004 he was artistic director of the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin. Since 2002, Lund is Professor for Acting at the ''Musical/Show'' department at Berlin University of the Arts. The Grips-Theatre in Berlin (official name: GRIPS Theater) is a well-known and well-respected emancipatory children's and youth theatre, located at Altonaer Straße at Hansaplatz in the Hansaviertel in Berlin's Mitte district. Kommune 1
Kommune 1 or K1 was a politically motivated commune in Germany. It was created on 12 January 1967, in West Berlin and finally dissolved in November 1969. Kommune 1 developed from the extraparliamentary opposition of the German student movement of the 1960s. It was intended as a counter-model against the small middle-class family, as a reaction against a society that the commune thought was very conservative. The commune was first located (from 19 February 1967, until the beginning of March 1967) in the empty apartment of the author Hans Magnus Enzensberger, in Fregestraße 19, as well as in the studio apartment of the author Uwe Johnson, who was staying in the United States, at Niedstraße 14 in the Berlin district of Friedenau.
