''Die Freiheitlichen'' (), abbreviated dF, is a Regionalism (politics), regionalist, Separatism, separatist and National conservatism, national-conservative List of political parties in South Tyrol, political party in South Tyrol, Italy. The party, which is part of the South Tyrolean independence movement, seeks to represent the German language, German-speaking majority and Ladin language, Ladin-speaking minority in the province and to separate it from Italy. Broadly speaking, its ideology is similar to that of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) and the two parties maintain close contacts. The long-time leader and honorary president of the party is Pius Leitner. In the 2013 Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol provincial elections#South Tyrol, 2013 provincial election the party came a distant second to the dominant South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP). Gerold Meraner (9 March 1940 – 26 August 2023) was an Italian politician. Jörg Haider
Jörg Haider (; 26 January 1950 – 11 October 2008) was an Austrian politician. He was Governor of Carinthia on two occasions, the long-time leader of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) and later Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Austria (Bündnis Zukunft Österreich, BZÖ), a breakaway party from the FPÖ. Haider was a controversial figure within Austria and abroad. Several countries imposed mild diplomatic sanctions against his party's participation in government alongside Wolfgang Schüssel's Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), starting from 2000. The Freedom Party of South Tyrol (german: Freiheitliche Partei Südtirols, FPS) was a regionalist national-liberal political party in South Tyrol. Junge Generation (SVP)
The Young Generation (german: Junge Generation, JG) is the youth organisation of the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP), a political party representing the German-speaking and Ladin-speaking population of South Tyrol, in Italy. The Young Generation has about 6,000 members and is therefore the largest political youth organisation in South Tyrol and is the community of all party members of the SVP at the age of 14 to 30. The JG has about 100 local groups spread over the whole territory. President of the organisation is René Tumler, who was elected from the congress together with his deputies in March 2014. The Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol provincial elections of 2013 took place on 27 October 2013.
