Dida Of Eynsham
Dida of Eynsham (also called Didan or Didanius) was a 7th-century sub-king of the Mercian territory around Oxford, near the Chilterns. Little is known of his life, although he is mentioned briefly in the various Anglo-Saxon chronicles, and he has been purported, since ancient times, to be the father of St Frideswide, patron saint of Oxford. Biography The date of Dida's birth is not known. He appears to have acted as a sub-king of the Chilterns around 670–675. Anglo-Saxon chronicles describe him as controlling areas of Mercian territory around Oxford and the Chilterns. He appears to have been in constant dispute with the West Saxons over land boundaries. It is speculated that he was a Mercian nobleman who was raised to the status of sub-king by Wulfhere of Mercia; although it is not known for certain how long he held this position, or even if he lost his authority only upon his death. Because of his connection to St. Frideswide, it is also assumed that he was related to th ...

Dida is a dialect cluster of the Kru family spoken in Ivory Coast. ISO divides Dida into three groups, Yocoboué (Yokubwe) Dida (101,600 speakers in 1993), Lakota Dida (93,800 speakers in 1993), and Gaɓogbo (Guébié/Gebye) which are only marginally mutually intelligible and best considered separate languages. Yocoboué consists of the Lozoua (Lozwa) and Divo dialects (7,100 and 94,500 speakers), and Lakota the Lakota (Lákota), Abou (Abu), and Vata dialects. The prestige dialect is the Lozoua speech of the town of Guitry. Phonology The Dida lects have consonant and vowel inventories typical of the Eastern Kru languages. DiDA
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the Diploma in Digital Applications (DiDA) is an optional information and communication technology (ICT) course, usually studied by Key Stage 4 or equivalent school students (aged 14-16). DiDA was introduced in 2005 (after a pilot starting in 2004) as a creation of the Edexcel examination board. DiDA is notable in that it consists entirely of coursework, completed on-computer; all work relating to the DiDA course is created, stored, assessed and moderated digitally. It was introduced as a replacement to plug the gap in ICT education as GNVQs were withdrawn. Course There are two particular 'levels' that can be taken: Level 1 (Grades C-G) and Level 2 (Grades A* - C). The course consists of five units. Using ICT is a compulsory unit. ''Gracias a la Vida'' (subtitled ''Joan Baez canta en español''), or ''Here's to Life: Joan Baez sings in Spanish'' is the fifteenth studio album (and seventeenth overall) by American singer-songwriter Joan Baez, released in 1974. It was performed mainly in Spanish, with one song in Catalan. Baez stated at the time that she released the album as a "message of hope to the Chileans suffering under Augusto Pinochet", in the wake of the death of Salvador Allende. (Baez is known for her criticism of US foreign policy in Latin America, and has toured and worked on behalf of improving human rights in the region). Songs include selections by Chilean composers Víctor Jara (who was tortured and killed in the aftermath of the 1973 coup d'état) and Violeta Parra, who composed the title song. A more upbeat version of "Dida" appears on Baez's ''Diamonds & Rust'', released the following year. Countries represented in the track listing range from Mexico and Cuba to Chile and Spain.
