Dick Zokol
Richard Francis "Dick" Zokol (born August 21, 1958) is a Canadian professional golfer who has played on the Canadian Tour, PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour, winning at least one event in each venue. Amateur career Zokol was born in Kitimat, British Columbia. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and was the captain of the 1981 NCAA championship golf team. He was also an All-American selection in 1981, on the Second Team. He was a teammate of future fellow PGA Tour players Rick Fehr, Keith Clearwater and Bobby Clampett; he was Clampett's roommate for three years. He won the 1981 Canadian Amateur Championship, in a one-hole sudden death playoff over Blaine McCallister. Professional career In 1981, he turned professional and joined the PGA Tour later in 1981. Kitimat, British Columbia
Kitimat is a district municipality in the North Coast region of British Columbia, Canada. It is a member municipality of the Regional District of Kitimat–Stikine regional government. The Kitimat Valley is part of the most populous urban district in northwest British Columbia, which includes Terrace to the north along the Skeena River Valley. Blaine McCallister
Blaine McCallister (born October 17, 1958) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour and Champions Tour. McCallister was born in Fort Stockton, Texas. He attended the University of Houston and was a member of the golf team. His college roommates were future fellow professional golfer Fred Couples and future CBS Sports golf host Jim Nantz. McCallister turned pro in 1981. McCallister joined the PGA Tour in 1982. He had a total of five wins on the PGA Tour, all of which came in the late 1980s and early 1990s. As he entered his forties, McCallister began to split his playing time between the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Mike Reid (golfer)
Michael Daniel Reid (born July 1, 1954) is an American professional golfer. Reid was one of the top amateurs in the mid-1970s, winning the 1976 Pacific Coast Amateur and leading the 1976 U.S. Open after the first round. As a professional, Reid won two PGA Tour events and finished in the top-10 70 times. In 1989, Reid came close to winning two major championships, the Masters and the PGA Championship, leading both of them during closing holes of the final round. On the Champions Tour, Reid won two senior majors, the 2005 Senior PGA Championship and the 2009 Tradition. Early life Reid was born in Bainbridge, Maryland, the son of an Air Force officer. The British Columbia Open, commonly known as the B. C. Open, was a golf tournament that was held in British Columbia, Canada. Gary Hallberg
Gary George Hallberg (born May 31, 1958) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour. Amateur career Hallberg was born in Berwyn, Illinois. He attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was a member of the golf team. He was a member of the 1977 Walker Cup team. In addition, Hallberg was the individual medalist at the 1979 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. There were expectations that he would turn pro at this time. However, Hallberg asserted that he intended to return to Wake Forest for his senior year. Hallberg was the first four-time, first-team All-American in the history of intercollegiate golf. The PGA Championship of Canada is a golf tournament organized by the PGA of Canada, an organization founded in 1911 at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. Dick Mast
Richard Mast (born March 23, 1951) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour. Early life Mast was born in Bluffton, Ohio. He graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1971 with a degree in business. Professional career Mast turned pro in 1972. He played on the PGA Tour intermittently in the 1970s and early 1980s. He finished fourth in the 1985 qualifying school to earn his Tour card for 1986. He kept his card through the 1989 season when he finished 173rd on the money list and lost his card. The biggest impression he made in the majors was at the U.S. Open in 1988, where he was only one stroke off the lead after the first round; he went on to finish in a tie for 50th place. The Greater Milwaukee Open was a regular golf tournament in Wisconsin on the PGA Tour. For 42 years, it was played annually in the Milwaukee area, the final sixteen editions in the north suburb of Brown Deer at the Brown Deer Park Golf Course.
