Dick King (politician)
Richard A. King (August 30, 1934 – January 15, 2018) was an American educator and politician in the state of Washington (U.S. state), Washington. King was born in Ritzville, Washington, and attended the University of Washington, attaining Bachelor of Arts, B.A. and Master of Arts, M.A. degrees. King was also an educator, serving as a faculty member of the Everett Community College for 31 years until this retirement in the 1990s. A Democrat, King represented the 38th district in the Washington State House, which included parts of Snohomish County, Washington, Snohomish County. From 1965 to 1994, he served 15 consecutive terms. He and his wife Mary had 4 children. He died on January 15, 2018. Everett Community College
Everett Community College (EvCC) is a public community college in Everett, Washington. EvCC educates more than 19,000 students every year at locations throughout Snohomish County, Washington, with most students and faculty at the main campus in Everett. History Everett Junior College (EJC) was founded in 1941, with the college's first students taking classes at a converted elementary school. In 1957, construction began on a new college campus in north Everett. The campus, which originally included seven buildings, opened in 1958. The college's name changed to Everett Community College in 1967 to conform with the Washington State Community College Act.
