Dick Clair
Dick Clair (November 12, 1931 – December 12, 1988) was an American television producer, actor and television and film writer, best known for the television sitcoms ''It's a Living'', '' The Facts of Life'', and ''Mama's Family''. Early life Clair was born Richard Jones in San Francisco, California. He served in the military for two years from 1955 to 1957. He never married or had children. Career In the early 1970s, Clair performed husband-and-wife comedy routines for ''The Ed Sullivan Show'' and ''The Dean Martin Show'' with his writing partner Jenna McMahon. Clair was a screenwriter for episodes of ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show'' and ''The Bob Newhart Show'' in addition to his Emmy Award winning writing for the comedy-variety TV program ''The Carol Burnett Show''. Cryo-preservation or cryo-conservation is a process where organisms, organelles, cells, tissues, extracellular matrix, organs, or any other biological constructs susceptible to damage caused by unregulated chemical kinetics are preserved by cooling to very low temperatures (typically using solid carbon dioxide or using liquid nitrogen). At low enough temperatures, any enzymatic or chemical activity which might cause damage to the biological material in question is effectively stopped. AIDS

Cryonics (from el, κρύος ''kryos'' meaning 'cold') is the low-temperature freezing (usually at ) and storage of human remains, with the speculative hope that resurrection may be possible in the future. Cryonics is regarded with skepticism within the mainstream scientific community. It is generally viewed as a pseudoscience, and its practice has been characterized as quackery. Cryonics procedures can begin only after the "patients" are clinically and legally dead. Cryonics procedures may begin within minutes of death, and use cryoprotectants to prevent ice formation during cryopreservation. It is, however, not possible for a corpse to be reanimated after undergoing vitrification, as this causes damage to the brain including its neural circuits.
