Dick And Dom's Hoopla
Dick and Dom's Hoopla was a CBBC children's entertainment television series presented by the duo Dick and Dom (Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood). It was first broadcast in September 2012 and was shown every Friday evening on the CBBC Channel. The show saw the duo running their own travelling funfair and contestants of all ages play games to try to get to the finale. As well as games in the usual surreal style of Dick and Dom, there was also performers, acts and celebrity appearances. Dick and Dom (originally Richard and Dominic) are a British comedy double act consisting of the presenters Richard "Dick" McCourt and Dominic "Dom" Wood. They are primarily known for presenting 'the broom cupboard' presentation links on Children's BBC in the 1990s and early 2000s, before moving onto the double BAFTA Award winning ''Dick & Dom in da Bungalow'', a children's entertainment show that was broadcast live during weekend mornings on BBC One, CBBC and later BBC Two. Richard McCourt
Richard "Dick" McCourt (born 12 August 1976) is an English entertainer and presenter. He is best known as one half of the comic duo Dick and Dom, with the other being Dominic Wood. His older brother is fellow television presenter James McCourt (TV host), James McCourt. Education McCourt was educated at Tapton School, a state comprehensive in Sheffield. At The Sheffield College, Norton College, building on his experience as a volunteer at Sheffield's hospital radio station, he studied audio, video and print media, receiving the BTEC Extended Diploma, BTEC National Diploma in media production in 1994. Television McCourt gained his experience in Sheffield presenting Hospital Television and local television throughout the early '90s. Dominic Wood
Dominic Simon "Dom" Wood (born 3 January 1978) is an English entertainer, magician and presenter of radio and television, best known as one half of the double act Dick and Dom, with the other being Richard McCourt. From 14 October 2007 to September 2008, he and work partner McCourt presented the Sunday morning show on BBC Radio 1 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, but later left the show due to TV commitments.
