Diary
A diary is a written or audiovisual record with discrete entries arranged by date reporting on what has happened over the course of a day or other period. Diaries have traditionally been handwritten but are now also often digital. A personal diary may include a person's experiences, thoughts, and/or feelings, excluding comments on current events outside the writer's direct experience. Someone who keeps a diary is known as a diarist. Diaries undertaken for institutional purposes play a role in many aspects of human civilization, including government records (e.g. ''Hansard''), business ledgers, and military records. In British English, the word may also denote a preprinted journal format. Today the term is generally employed for personal diaries, normally intended to remain private or to have a limited circulation amongst friends or relatives. ''The Diary (You Think You Know)'' is the second unreleased album by American rapper, Charli Baltimore. The album was to be her official solo debut album (after the cancellation of her other album, '' Cold as Ice''), it was also expected to be Charli's big comeback. The album spawned a total of five buzz singles but none of them managed to chart. Because of the lack of charting performance from her singles and with no promotion from her label, the album was shelved. Background and recording After striking a deal with Murder Inc. CEO Irv Gotti, Charli Baltimore began recording the album in 2001 under the label. Most of the material from the album was recorded in Soundtrack Studios, Manhattan, New York City, New York. The Diary (Adventure Time)
"The Diary" is the thirtieth episode of the sixth season of the American animated television series ''Adventure Time''. In the episode, Jake's son T.V. finds an old diary, which revives a decades-old mystery. It was written by Canadian illustrator Jillian Tamaki, her second episode on the show after " Astral Plane". The episode was broadcast on Cartoon Network on February 26, 2015. Writers of ''Wired'' and ''The A.V. Club'' praised Tamaki for the way she wrote the episode as well as the visuals overall. Plot Jake's son T.V. finds an old diary, which revives a decades-old mystery surrounding the writer of the book. T.V. soon pores over the scrawling of the writer, whose initials are B.P. The more and more T.V. reads, however, the more obsessed he becomes, to the point where he soon begins to experience everything that the diary's author wrote about. ''Swan Songs'' is the debut studio album by American rap rock band Hollywood Undead. It was released through Octone Records and Polydor Records on September 2, 2008. "Everywhere I Go" was the first single to be released, it was a web single and was available for download only on iTunes. The band released four music videos for four songs on the album, "No. 5", "Undead", "Young", and "Everywhere I Go." When purchased through Amazon.com and at some other retailers, the album includes a bonus track and an option to unlock music videos. Background ''Swan Songs'' was supposed to be released on the band's original label, MySpace Records in 2007, however it was postponed by the record label when they requested to have some of the songs removed and others censored. ''Tales Don't Tell Themselves'' is the third album by Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. It charted at #3 in the UK selling 25,000 copies in its first week and later went silver. It was released on 14 May 2007. Before the release of the album, the band released several short studio update videos informing fans of their progress. During the recording of the album, Matt Davies used the same microphone he used to record the group's first album '' Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation'' and Ryan Richards recorded his drum parts by recording cymbals separately from the rest of his drum parts and replacing the normal cymbals with electric ones whilst recording basic drums. Davies plays guitar on several of the songs; this is the first album in which he has done so. "The Diary" is a song by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield. It was released in 1958 as Sedaka's debut single. Background This song's writers, Sedaka and Howard Greenfield, were inspired to write the song after asking for (and being refused) access to their client Connie Francis's diary in hopes of mining it for lyrical material. They originally wrote this song for Little Anthony & The Imperials. (It had a very similar sound to that group's first hit, "Tears on My Pillow".) The pair took the song to George Goldner, The Imperials' producer, over at End Records, who, although having the group record and release the song as an End Records single, felt that it wasn't quite done the way they felt it should have been done. The Imperials' version didn't chart, so Sedaka took it and decided that he should record the song himself. "The Diary" was issued on Sedaka's 1959 first solo album '' Rock with Sedaka'' on RCA.
