Diane Stratas
Diane Rose Stratas (born 28 December 1932) is a Canadian former politician and businesswoman. She was a Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, Progressive Conservative member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1979 to 1980. Background Stratas was a businesswoman and community service volunteer by career. She was the middle daughter of immigrants from a village named Kastri om Greece who lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was married to retired veterinarian, William J. Stratas, who died in 2013. In December 2009, her second son, David Stratas, was appointed a judge of the Federal Court of Appeal, based in Ottawa. Scarborough Centre (french: Scarborough-Centre) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1979. Flora MacDonald (politician)
Flora Isabel MacDonald, (June 3, 1926 – July 26, 2015) was a Canadian politician and humanitarian. Canada's first female foreign minister, she was also one of the first women to vie for leadership of a major Canadian political party, the Progressive Conservatives. She became a close ally of Prime Minister Joe Clark, serving in his cabinet from 1979 to 1980, as well as in the cabinet of Prime Minister Brian Mulroney from 1984 to 1988.
