Diane Richardson
Diane Richardson is an American basketball coach and currently the Head Coach of Temple Owls women's basketball team. Prior to coaching at Temple, she was head coach at Towson University from 2017 to 2022, an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at West Virginia University from 2016 to 2017, following coaching stints at George Washington University from 2012 to 2016, the University of Maryland from 2007 to 2008, and American University from 2006 to 2007. Early life Diane Richardson obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Frostburg State University where she participated in basketball and track and was a 1979 NCAA champion in both 200- and 400 meter races. In 1980 she earned a spot at the 1980 Summer Olympics but didn't participate. Four years later, she got her master's degree in management from Central Michigan University. The 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season began in November 2019 and concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, COVID-19 pandemic. The 2018–19 Towson Tigers women's basketball team represented Towson University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Tigers, led by second year head coach Diane Richardson, played their home games at SECU Arena and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). They finished the season 20–13, 11–7 CAA play to finish in a 3 way tie for third place. Colonial Athletic Association
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I whose full members are located in East Coast states from Massachusetts to South Carolina. Most of its members are public universities, and the conference is headquartered in Richmond. The CAA was historically a Southern conference until the addition of four schools in the Northeast (of five that joined from rival conference America East) after the turn of the 21st century, which added geographic balance to the conference. Upper Marlboro, officially the Town of Upper Marlboro, is the seat of Prince George's County, Maryland. Aso of the 2020 census, the population was 652. although Greater Upper Marlboro is many times larger. Etymology Upper Marlboro was established in 1706 as "Marlborough Town", after John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough. In 1744, the town was renamed to "Upper Marlborough".
