Diana Kempa (born Diana Kavtorina; ) is a Kazakhstani female volleyball player. She is a member of the Kazakhstan women's national volleyball team. Temirtau
Temirtau ( kz, Теміртау, translit=Temırtau; russian: Темиртау) is a city in the Karaganda Region of Kazakhstan. The population was 170,481 in the 1999 census, rising to 210,590 in 2015. The city is located on the Nura River (the Samarkand Reservoir), northwest of Karaganda. History The first groups of settlers to settle in the area were 40 families from Samara (see Stolypin reform), who settled on the left bank of the Nura River on 15 June 1905. The settlement they founded was named Zhaur (''Жаур''), after a hill on the other side of the river. In 1909 the settlement was renamed Samarkandsky (''Самаркандский'', or Samarkand for short). The first school and the first hospital were built in 1911. In 1933 the Samarkandsky-Karaganda water conduit was built to facilitate the development of the Karaganda coal field. Karaganda Region ( kk, Qarağandy oblysy; russian: Карагандинская область, translit=Karagandinskaja oblast′), also spelled Qaraghandy Region, is a region of Kazakhstan. Its capital is Karaganda. On 17 March 2022 it was announced that Karaganda would be divided, with the formation of the Ulytau Region. This officially came into force on 8 June 2022. History The region was the site of intense coal mining during the days of the Soviet Union and also the site of several Gulag forced labor camps. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The 2015 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 23rd edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 28 countries from 26 June to 2 August 2015. 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 25th edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 32 teams between 7 July and 6 August. The Group 1 Final Round was held in Nanjing, China. Defending champions Brazil won their record twelfth title in the tournament after a 3–2 win over Italy. Serbia captured their third bronze medal in the competition by defeating China in a rematch of the previous year's Olympic final. Natália Pereira from Brazil was elected the MVP for the second straight year. In the Group 2 finals held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, Poland defeated South Korea in straight sets. 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship
The 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship was the nineteenth edition of the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, Asian Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI). The tournament was held in both Biñan and Muntinlupa, Philippines from 9 to 17 August 2017. Qualification The fourteen AVC member associations were submit their women's national team to the 2017 Asian Volleyball Championship.
