Diambars FC
Diambars FC de Saly is a football academy in Saly, Senegal, which plays in the Senegalese National League 1. It's also a part of Diambars, a non-profit organisation certified by UNESCO. History Diambars was founded in 2003 by former footballer Patrick Vieira and other players. Diambars started at the regional championships, after being the best in regional divisions, Diambars elevated to a professional status in 2009. Diambars came up to the national divisions, then to National 1, Diambars promoted itself to Ligue 2 and in 2011 promoted to Ligue 1 for the first time where they remain into the present day. Their first season was placed in Group A and finished first with 26 points and 8 wins, the goal totals of 18 was shared with US Ouakam, Ouakam, the highest. In the final phase, Diambars was placed second behind Casa Sports. Saly (also called Sali or Saly Portudal) is a seaside resort and urban commune in Thiès Region on the Petite Côte of Senegal, south of Dakar. It is a major tourist destination in Senegal. Vieux Yakhya Sané (born 4 August 1989) is a Senegalese professional association football, footballer who last played as a defender (association football), defender for SK Brann, Brann. He has previously played for Tromsø IL, Tromsø, FK Bodø/Glimt, Bodø/Glimt, Stade Brestois 29, Stade Brest, Bursaspor (only cup games), AJ Auxerre, Auxerre and KV Oostende, Oostende.
