Dhananjay Munde
Dhananjay Panditrao Munde (born 15 July 1975) is an Indian politician, who is currently a member of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and was appointed cabinet minister in Uddhav Thackeray's Maharashtra State Government. Early life and education Munde was born on 15 July 1975 in Nathra, Parli Vaijnath, Beed in a Vanjari family. Munde's family consists of his mother, Rukmini Munde, wife Rajshri Munde and daughter Adishri Munde. Political career Munde won the 2019 assembly elections from Parli constituency. He is the Guardian Minister of Beed District and the Minister of Social Justice and Special Assistance of the State of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
The Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha or the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the legislature of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in the Nariman Point area of South Mumbai in the capital Mumbai. Presently, 288 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from the single-seat constituencies. The members of the upper house, the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad (the legislative council) are indirectly elected through an electoral college. Sessions The budget session and the monsoon session are convened in Mumbai whereas the winter session is convened in the auxiliary capital Nagpur. Gopinath Pandurang Munde (12 December 1949 – 3 June 2014) was an Indian politician from Maharashtra. A popular Leader in Maharashtra called a Lokneta. He was a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Union Minister for Rural and Panchayati Raj in Narendra Modi's Cabinet. He is well known for being the mastermind behind the finish of the underworld in Mumbai, as deputy chief minister and home minister of Maharashtra in 1995-1999. The Banjara (also known as ,Vanzara,Lambadi,Gour Rajput,Labana) are a historically nomadic trading caste who may have origins in the Mewar region of what is now Rajasthan. Etymology The Banjaras usually refer to themselves as ''Gor'' and outsiders as ''Kor'' but this usage does not extend outside their own community. A related usage is ''Gor Mati'' or ''Gormati'', meaning ''Own People''. Motiraj Rathod believes that the community became known as ''banjara'' from around the fourteenth century AD and but previously had some association with the ''Laman'', who claim a 3000-year history. Nationalist Congress Party
The Nationalist Congress Party ( NCP) is one of the nine national parties in India. The party generally supports Indian nationalism and Gandhian secularism. It is the largest opposition party in Maharashtra and is also a significant party in other states. Party formation and performance The NCP was formed on 10 June 1999, by Sharad Pawar, P. A. Sangma, and Tariq Anwar after they were expelled from the Indian National Congress on 20 May 1999, for disputing the right of Italian-born Sonia Gandhi to lead the party.
