Dhampur Assembly Constituency
Dhampur Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Bijnor district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Nagina Lok Sabha constituency. First election in this assembly constituency was held in 1957 after the delimitation order (DPACO – 1956) was passed in 1956. The constituency was assigned identification number 20 after "Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008" was passed in the year 2008. Ashok Kumar Rana
Ashok Kumar Rana is an Indian politician from Western Uttar Pradesh, associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of the 18th Legislative Assembly and has earlier been part of the Seventeenth Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh representing the Dhampur assembly constituency. Janata Party (Secular)
The Janata Party (Secular) was an Indian political party founded by Raj Narain in July, 1979. On 16 July 1979, Charan Singh assumed its leadership and became the Prime Minister of India on 28 July 1979 with the support of the Indian National Congress (I) but resigned on 20 August 1979 after their withdrawal of support. The Janata Party led by Charan Singh was later renamed as Lok Dal before the 1980 Indian general election but officially contested in the elections under its previous name.
