Govt. Madrasah-e-Alia ( ar, المدرسة العالية الحكومية, bn, সরকারী মাদ্রাসা-ই-আলিয়া) is a government madrasa located in Bakshibazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Since its founding the madrasah has been playing a significant role in imparting and spreading Islamic education and ideology that is conservative, methodical, modern and progressive. History Alia Madrasah was established in 1780 by British government and formed Madrasah education Board of Bengal. Madrasah Education was then started formally. Consequently, Madrasah Education was reformed. To materialize this declaration of share-E-Bangla a committee named Moula Box was formed. Kamaluddin Abdullah Zafree ( ar, كمال الدين عبد الله الظفري, bn, কামালুদ্দীন আব্দুল্লাহ জাফরী; born 5 March 1945) is an Islamic scholar from Bangladesh. Ekushey Padak ( bn, একুশে পদক; lit. "Twentyfirst Award") is the second highest civilian award in Bangladesh, introduced in memory of the martyrs of the Bengali Language Movement of 1952. The award is given to recognize contributions in a number of fields, including culture, education, and economics. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs administers the award. The award consists of an 18 carat gold medal weighing 3 tolas and a certificate of honour. The medal was designed by the artist Nitun Kundu.
