Devin Haney
Devin Miles Haney (; born November 17, 1998) is an American professional boxer. He is the current undisputed lightweight champion, having held the WBC title since 2019 and the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and ''Ring'' titles since June 2022. As of June 2022, he is ranked as the world's best active lightweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, second by BoxRec and first by ESPN. Early life Haney was born in San Francisco and lived in Oakland, California as a child, but moved to Las Vegas with his father Bill at the age of 14. He started boxing at the age of seven. Professional career On February 2, 2018, Haney was scheduled to fight Filipino Harmonito Dela Torre in an eight-round opening bout. Dela Torre had problems obtaining a visa and subsequently withdrew from the fight. Unable to find an opponent, the date was scrapped. Zaur Magomedalievich Abdullaev (russian: Заур Магомедалиевич Абдуллаев; born 23 March 1994) is a Russian professional boxer who challenged for the WBC interim lightweight title in 2019. Professional career Abdullaev made his professional debut on 4 March 2017, scoring a first-round technical knockout (TKO) victory over Sardorbek Kamilov at the Sports Complex Leader in Berezovsky, Russia. Joseph "JoJo" Pedroza Diaz Jr. (born November 23, 1992) is an American professional boxer who held the WBC interim lightweight title from July 2021 to December 2021.
