Devil Kitty, stylized as DEViL KiTTY and DEVIL KITTY, were a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 2002. History The band formed in September of 2002 by Yuuga, initially going under the pseudonym Paro. Soon after, Yura (ex-Misery and Kilah), Reika (ex-member from La'miss Fairy) and Yuune joined Devil Kitty,they released their first full album in November.Visunavi Profile (Japanese) Retrieved Sep 21 2007 Guitarist Reika left the band in February 2003, and Yuune departed in June of that year. , also known as 2ch, Channel 2, and sometimes retrospectively as 2ch.net, was an anonymous Japanese textboard founded in 1999 by Hiroyuki Nishimura. Described in 2007 as "Japan's most popular online community", the site had a level of influence comparable to that of traditional mass media such as television, radio, and magazines. At the time, the site drew an annual revenue of around (about US$1 million), and was the largest of its kind in the world, with around ten million visitors and 2.5 million posts made per day. The site was hosted and had its domain registration provided by Jim Watkins, based in San Francisco, California. Visual Kei
is a movement among Japanese musicians that is characterized by the use of varying levels of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics, similar to Western glam rock. Some Western sources consider visual kei a music genre, with its sound usually related to glam rock, punk rock and heavy metal. However, visual kei acts play various genres, including those considered by some as unrelated to rock such as electronic, pop, etc. Other sources, including members of the movement themselves, state that it is not a music genre and that the freedom of expression, fashion, and participation in the related subculture is what exemplifies the use of the term. Ghost (2004 Band)
Ghost (often stylized as GHOST) was a visual kei rock band from Japan. They started activity in 2004, and changed lineup several times. Musical styles Their sound is often described as melodic, but they also have elements of hard rock and gothic rock. They disbanded in 2007 after the departure of guitarist Hisui. Biography Ghost was formed in 2004 as a part of the boom of new visual kei bands. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Kousei, Hisui and Syo~ji on guitars and drummer Rin. In May of the same year, they were joined by Zero on bass guitar. Their first single, ''higyaku no shiro'', was released in December. In 2005, Ghost lost two of its members; Syo~ji and Rin. Deathcore
Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns. While there are some precursors to the concept of death metal fused with metalcore/hardcore elements seen in the 1990s, deathcore itself emerged in the early 2000s and gained prominence beginning in the mid-2000s within the southwestern United States, especially Arizona and inland southern California (mostly the Coachella Valley), which are home to many notable bands and various festivals.
