Devendro Singh
Devendro Singh Laishram (born 2 March 1992), also known as Devendro Singh or Devendro Laishram, is an Indian boxer from Imphal West district, Manipur who competes in the light-flyweight division. Devendro represented India at the 2012 Summer Olympics and lost out in the quarter-finals in a tough bout against the eventual bronze medalist Irish boxer Paddy Barnes. Devendro qualified for the Olympics after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku. In 2013 Devendro won the silver medal at the Asian Confederation Boxing Championship. In August 2014 he won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He competed against Paddy Barnes, who was representing Northern Ireland and settled for a Silver medal. The Boxing Federation of India ( hi, बॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया) is the Indian national governing body for amateur boxing for Olympic and is the India's member organization of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA). Pürevdorjiin Serdamba ( mn, Пүрэвдоржийн Сэрдамба; April 18, 1985) is a retired Mongolian amateur boxer. He won a silver medal at the 2008 Olympics in the junior flyweight division. He became the first Mongolian to win a gold medal at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in 2009. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. Nanao Singh Thokchom
Thokchom Nanao Singh (born 8 January 1991) is an Indian boxer from Khoijuman Maning Leikai village in Bishnupur district of Manipur. He trains at Pune-based Army Sports Institute and is supported by Olympic Gold Quest, a not-for-profit foundation to identify and support Indian athletes. Early years Thokchom Nanao Singh was born to Thokchom Tobobi Singh and Keinahanbi Devi in Khoijuman Maning Leikai village ( from Imphal) in Bishnupur district of Manipur. Gurbaksh Singh Sandhu
Gurbaksh Singh Sandhu ( pa, ਗੁਰ੍ਬਾਕਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ), also spelled as Gurbax/Gurbux Singh Sandhu, was the national boxing coach of India. He started coaching Indian National Team from the year 1993. He was influential in bringing a medal to India in 2008 Summer Olympics, when Vijender Singh of India won bronze, which was the first ever medal for India in Boxing at Olympics. He has also helped Indian boxers in their performances in World Championship. He stopped coaching boxing of India until July 2013.
