Detlef Schmidt
Detlef Schmidt (born 24 February 1958) is a West Germany, West German Canoe racing, sprint canoer who competed in the mid to late 1980s. He won a silver medal in the K-4 500 m event at the 1986 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Montreal. Schmidt also finished eighth in the Canoeing at the 1984 Summer Olympics – Men's K-4 1000 metres, K-4 1000 m event at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. 1986 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships
The 1986 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships were held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the Notre Dame Island. The 1984 Summer Olympics (officially the Games of the XXIII Olympiad and also known as Los Angeles 1984) were an international multi-sport event held from July 28 to August 12, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States.
