Destination X (2016) (aka ''Impact Wrestling: Destination X'') was a professional wrestling event produced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which took place on July 12, 2016 at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the twelfth event under the Destination X chronology. It was featured as a live special edition of TNA's weekly broadcast of '' Impact Wrestling''. Six professional wrestling matches were contested at the event. The main event was a title versus title match, in which the World Heavyweight Champion Lashley and the X Division Champion Eddie Edwards defended their respective titles. Moose made his TNA debut during the match and attacked both participants, resulting in the match ending in a no contest. The Impact World Championship is a professional wrestling world championship created and promoted by Impact Wrestling. It is the promotion's principal championship. Like most professional wrestling championships, the title is won via the result of a predetermined match. The current champion is Josh Alexander, who is in his second reign. Michael Bennett (born May 16, 1985) is an American professional wrestler best known under the ring name Mike Bennett. He currently competes for the National Wrestling Alliance. Ladder Match
A ladder match is a type of match in professional wrestling, most commonly one in which an item (usually a title belt) is hung above the ring, and the winner is the contestant who climbs a ladder and retrieves the item. The ladder itself becomes a key feature of the match, as wrestlers will use the ladder as a weapon to strike the opponent(s), as a launching pad for acrobatic attacks, and frequently these matches include impressive falls from the top of the ladder. The Impact Knockouts World Championship is a women's professional wrestling world championship owned by Impact Wrestling. It is primarily contested for in Impact's women's division, known as the Impact Knockouts. The championship debuted on October 14, 2007 at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view (PPV) event under the name TNA Knockouts Championship until the promotion changed its name in March 2017, then added the world status in 2021.
