Destination X (2015)
The 2015 Destination X (also known as ''Impact Wrestling: Destination X'') was a professional wrestling event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which took place on May 11, 2015 at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the eleventh event under the Destination X chronology. Like the previous year's event, this event was not held on pay-per-view (PPV) and was instead featured as a special edition of TNA's weekly broadcast of ''Impact Wrestling'', which aired on June 10, 2015. Seven professional wrestling matches were contested at the event. Kurt Angle defended the World Heavyweight Championship twice at the event; first against Rockstar Spud in the opening match, who had earned the title shot by invoking Option C which required him to vacate the X Division Championship and secondly against Austin Aries in the main event, who had cashed in his Feast or Fired briefcase for the title match. Rockstar Spud
James Michael Curtin (born 30 January 1983) is an English former professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE as a writer on Raw. During his time as an on screen performer in the company, he worked under the ring name Drake Maverick. He has also worked for Impact Wrestling (formerly Total Nonstop Action Wresting), under the ring name Rockstar Spud. During his first decade, Curtin worked in the British independent circuit, winning several championships in promotions like International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom (IPW:UK), One Pro Wrestling (1PW), Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW), and XWA Wrestling. In 2012, he appeared in the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA, later Impact Wrestling) program British Boot Camp, winning the competition and being signed to a contract with the promotion. Feast Or Fired
Feast or Fired is a professional wrestling match concept featured in Impact Wrestling. The idea is based on the object on a pole match, which sees wrestlers trying to gain possession of items hanging from poles attached to the ring posts. In this case, the participants in the match try to grab one of four briefcases from the poles. In the match itself, a wrestler can only claim a briefcase if he/she leaves the ring with it and both feet touch the floor. Stipulations Inside each of the briefcases is some sort of paperwork. One of the cases holds a contract for an Impact World Championship match, one holds a contract for an Impact X Division Championship match, and one holds a contract for an Impact World Tag Team Championship match (with a partner of that wrestler's choosing). Tigre Uno (born April 4, 1981) is a Mexican professional wrestler. He is best known for his time with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he is a one-time X Division Champion. It was taped on March 16, 2015, and aired on a tape delay on May 1, 2015. It is the eleventh event under the Hardcore Justice chronology. The Impact X Division Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by Impact Wrestling. It debuted on June 19, 2002, at the taping of then-TNA's second weekly pay-per-view (PPV) event. The current champion is Trey Miguel, who is in his second reign. Destination X (2012) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which took place on July 8, 2012 at the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the eighth show under the Destination X chronology and seventh event in the 2012 TNA PPV schedule. Unlike last year, the event was held inside of a four-sided ring as opposed to a six-sided ring. X Division
The X Division is a high-flying, high-risk, fast-paced style of professional wrestling seen in Impact Wrestling (formerly Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) and since then in various NWA member promotions. Its tagline is that "It's not about weight limits, it's about no limits!" History The high-flying, high risk style of wrestling had become one of the features of World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling in the late 1990s. Rather than emphasizing the fact that most wrestlers who perform this style are under 220 lb (100 kg) by calling it a cruiserweight division, TNA decided to emphasize the high-risk nature of the stunt like moves that the wrestlers performed only in TNA where no restraints were placed on them. Anthony Gregory Mayweather (born February 21, 1985) is an American professional wrestler and promoter, currently signed to the NWA where he competes under his real name. In 2010, he signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) as Crimson, where he achieved a 470-day undefeated streak, which lasted until June 2012.
