''Destination'' (stylized as ''DESTINATION'') is the twenty second studio album by Japanese singer Akina Nakamori and third studio album to be released during the 2000s. It was released on 21 June 2006 under the Universal Music Japan label. The album includes two Akina's original written songs: ''Yoru no Hana'' and ''Love Gate'' under pseudonym Miran:Miran. The album jacket is taken from live pamphlet Femme Fatale in 1988. Promotion Singles It consists of two previously released singles. ''Rakka Ryūsui'' is the forty fifth single written by Takashi Matsumoto and Kenji Hayashida. It was released on 7 December 2005 under Universal Music Japan. It was her only single to be released in that year and first single to be released in 3 years. Akina Nakamori
is a Japanese Singing, singer and Actor, actress. She is one of the most popular and best-selling artists in Japan. Akina achieved national recognition after winning the 1981 season of the talent show ''Star Tanjō!''. Her debut single "Slow Motion (Akina Nakamori song), Slow Motion" was released to moderate success, peaking at number thirty on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Nakamori's popularity increased with the release of her follow-up single, "Shōjo A", which peaked at number five on the Oricon charts and sold over 390,000 copies. Her second album ''Variation (Hensoukyoku), Variation'' became her first number-one on the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart, staying in that position for three weeks. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. It started as, which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter's Oricon record charts in April 2002. The charts are compiled from data drawn from some 39,700 retail outlets (as of April 2011) and provide sales rankings of music CDs, DVDs, electronic games, and other entertainment products based on weekly tabulations. Takashi Matsumoto (lyricist)
is a Japanese lyricist and former musician. After several years playing the drums in the rock bands Apryl Fool and Happy End during the late 1960s and early 1970s, Matsumoto decided to focus on writing lyrics for others in 1974. As of 2015, he had written over 2,100 songs, 130 of which entered the top 10 on the Oricon chart. Total sales of the singles he has written exceed 49.8 million copies, making him the third best-selling lyricist in Japan. In 2017, he was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon from the Japanese government for his work in music. Life and career In elementary school, Matsumoto listened to Igor Stravinsky and read poetry by Jean Cocteau. However, he bought a drum kit and became obsessed with rock music because of the Beatles.
