Desiree Holman
Desirée Holman (born 1974) is an American artist. Education and career Holman received her master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from California College of the Arts. She was among the 2008 SECA Art Award winners from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art as well as 2007 winner of the Artadia: Fund for Art and Dialogue award. Holman's solo exhibitions include the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Berkeley Art Museum’s MATRIX program. Holman’s work has been shown internationally at the Sao Paulo Museum of Modern Art, Hessel Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, di Rosa, Milan’s BnD, and Toronto’s YYZ. Her work is represented by Aspect/Ratio in Chicago, IL. Themes Holman works across media in drawings, sculpture, photography and video. Dena (in Luri and fa, ) is the name for a sub-range within the Zagros Mountains, Iran. Mount Dena, with length and average width, is situated on the boundary of the Isfahan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Provinces of Iran. ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 common era, CE) was the last of four Rashidun, Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam. Mary Cassatt
Mary Stevenson Cassatt (; May 22, 1844June 14, 1926) was an American painter and printmaker. She was born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania (now part of Pittsburgh's North Side), but lived much of her adult life in France, where she befriended Edgar Degas and exhibited with the Impressionists. Cassatt often created images of the social and private lives of women, with particular emphasis on the intimate bonds between mothers and children. A reborn doll is a hand made art doll created from a blank kit or a manufactured doll that has been transformed by an artist to resemble a human infant with as much realism as possible. The process of creating a reborn doll is referred to as reborning and the doll artists are referred to as reborners. Reborn dolls are also known as ''lifelike dolls'' or ''reborn baby dolls''. The Hammer Museum, which is affiliated with the University of California, Los Angeles, is an art museum and cultural center known for its artist-centric and progressive array of exhibitions and public programs.
