Kenneth Desmond Rowe (19 November 1925 – 12 May 2007) was an Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) between 1946 and 1957 for the Richmond Football Club. He was later senior coach of Richmond from 1961 to 1963. Coburg Football Club
The Coburg Football Club, nicknamed the Coburg Lions, is an Australian rules football club based in Coburg, a northern suburb of Melbourne, and currently playing in the Victorian Football League (VFL). It is based at Coburg City Oval since 1915, which was partly redeveloped in 2020. Richmond Football Club
The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Between its inception in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond in 1885 and 1907, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), winning two premierships. Richmond joined the Victorian Football League (now known as the AFL) in 1908 and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020. Jack Dyer Medal
The Jack Dyer Medal is an Australian rules football award given each season to the player or players adjudged best and fairest for the Richmond Football Club. The award is now named in honour of Jack Dyer, a champion ruckman who won the award five times from 1937 to 1946. He was one of the inaugural "Legends" inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 1996. The All-Australian team is an all-star team of Australian rules football in Australia, Australian rules footballers, selected by a panel at the end of each season. It represents a complete team, including an interchange bench, of the best-performed players during the season, led by that season's premiership coach. Australian Football League
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind"). The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football league in Australia serving as one of the second-tier regional semi-professional competitions which sit underneath the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). Percy Rowe
Percival Henry Rowe (4 January 1896 – 27 August 1976) was a player and coach in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Victorian Football Association (VFA). In 1915, Rowe played for Lake Rovers Football Club in the Ovens and Murray Football League grand final when Rutherglen defeated Lake Rovers. In 1924 Percy Rowe coached the Albury Football Club. Percy Rowe coached the Wangaratta Football Club to the 1925 Ovens and Murray Football League premiership. Wangaratta Football Club were runner-up to St. Patrick's Football Club in 1926 under Rowe's coaching. He then returned to Collingwood Football Club and played in their 1927 and 1928 premierships. Rowe is most notable for his time as captain-coach of the Northcote Football Club, where he oversaw the most successful period in the club's history.
