Derek Hawkins (cricketer)
Derek Graham Hawkins (18 May 1935 – 27 November 2010) was an English first-class cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler who played for Gloucestershire from 1952 to 1962. Hawkins was born at Alveston, Gloucestershire, and educated at the nearby Thornbury Grammar School. He captained the England Schools team in 1950, and signed a contract with Gloucestershire aged 16.'' Wisden'' 2011, p. 189.
