Derek Hall (Australian Footballer)
Derek Hall (born 29 November 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the West Coast Eagles and Geelong in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life A basketball player in his youth, Hall was brought up in the Western Australian town of Harvey. Although he was picked up by West Coast in the 1990 AFL draft, Hall continued playing for West Perth in the WAFL. Hall, a strong marking forward, had to wait until 1993 to break into the AFL and made two appearances. He spent 1994 in the WAFL and topped West Perth's goal-kicking for the second time. Career Hall nominated for the pre-season draft in 1994 and secured with the 16th selection by Geelong. He was used both as a forward and in the midfield by his new club. In 1996 he missed just one game, played in a qualifying final, had 334 disposals and kicked 24 goals. Derek Hall (cricketer)
Derek Hall (21 February 1932 – 13 March 1983) was an English first-class cricketer who played for Derbyshire County Cricket Club, Derbyshire between 1955 and 1958. Hall was born in Bolsover, Derbyshire, and made an early appearance for Derbyshire Club and Ground in 1951 followed by second XI appearances in 1954. He made his debut first-class appearance for Derbyshire County Cricket Club in 1955, Derbyshire in the 1955 season against Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Nottinghamshire. In the same innings as team-mate Arnold Hamer made a double-century. He appeared frequently throughout the rest of the season and in the Derbyshire County Cricket Club in 1956, 1956 season. He played three first-class matches in the Derbyshire County Cricket Club in 1957, 1957 season and one in the Derbyshire County Cricket Club in 1958, 1958 season when he achieved his top score of 10 not out. Derek Hall (footballer, Born 1965)
Derek Robert Hall (born 5 January 1965) is an English former professional footballer. He is senior coach at Port Adelaide Lion F.C. in the South Australian Premier League. Career Hall was born in Ashton-under-Lyne. He began his career as an apprentice with Coventry City, turning professional in October 1982 and making his only league appearance for the Sky Blues later that season. He joined Torquay United on loan in March 1984, earning himself a permanent move on a free transfer at the end of the season. In July 1985 he moved to Swindon Town, again on a free transfer, but struggled to settle at the County Ground and moved to Southend United on a free the following August. He settled in well at Roots Hall, playing 123 times over the next 3 seasons, scoring 15 goals in the process, before moving to Halifax Town on a free transfer in July 1989.
