The Derby dell'Emilia (), is the name given in association football, football to any match between Bologna F.C. 1909 and Parma Calcio 1913 Emilia (region of Italy), Emilia is a region that approximately corresponds to the western and north-eastern portions of today's Emilia-Romagna. The region takes its name from the Via Aemilia, a Roman road in 187 BCE. It is contested twice a year when the two clubs participate in the same league competition, such as Serie A, and more often if the clubs meet in other competitions. Other matches between Emilian teams may also be referred to under the name Derby dell'Emilia. From the 2018–19 Serie A, 2018–19 edition, with the return of Parma in Serie A three years after bankruptcy, the Derby dell'Emilia is again played. Mitropa Cup
The Mitropa Cup, officially called the La Coupe de l'Europe Centrale or Central European Cup, was one of the first international major European football cups for club sides. It was conducted among the successor states of the former Austria-Hungary. After World War II in 1951 a replacement tournament named ''Zentropa Cup'' was held, but just for one season, the Mitropa Cup name was revived, and again in 1958 the name of the tournament changed to ''Danube Cup'' but only for one season. The Supercoppa Italiana ( en, Italian Super Cup) is an annual football match contested by the winners of the Serie A and the Coppa Italia in the previous season. The 2009–10 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) was the 108th season of top-tier Italian football, the 78th in a round-robin tournament. There were three promoted teams from the Serie B, replacing the three teams that were relegated following the 2008–09 season. Nike provided a new match ball – the T90 Ascente – for this season. Following the season, citing a larger television contract, the seventeen teams that survived the season and the three promoted sides formed a new league akin to England's Premier League. It was expanded to contain 20 clubs, which played 38 matches against each other, rather than the 34 matches in previous seasons, while relegations were reduced to three.
