The Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia ( sr, Потпредседник Владе Србије / Potpredsednik Vlade Srbije, literally translated as Vice President of the Government of Serbia), is the official Deputy of the Prime Minister of Serbia. According to convention, one deputy position is allocated to each junior partner in the ruling coalition, being ranked according to the size of their respective parties. History of the office The office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia was established on 11 February 1991, during the government of Dragutin Zelenović. It was initially held by four people: Slobodan Prohaska, Velimir Radivojević, Nikola Stanić and Jovan Zebić. The coat of arms of the Republic of Serbia ( sr, / ) is the coat of arms determined by the Law on the Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Serbia of June 16, 1882. It was officially readopted by the National Assembly in 2004 and later slightly redesigned in 2010. G17 Plus was a centre-right political party in Serbia. Founded as a non-governmental organization dealing with economic issues, in 2002 it transformed into a political party that became part of several ruling coalition governments in Serbia throughout the 2000s and early 2010s. In 2013, it merged into United Regions of Serbia. Foundation G17 Plus was founded in 1997 as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Serbia, then a federal unit within FR Yugoslavia. The Social Democratic Party ( sr, Социјалдемократска партија, Socijaldemokratska partija; abbr. СДП, SDP) was a social democratic political party in Serbia. History The SDP was founded in April 2002 as a merger between Social Democracy (SD) and the Social Democratic Union (SDU). In the same year, the SDP joined the DOS governing coalition.
