Deputy Chairman Of The Mäjilis
The Deputy Chair of the Mäjilis is a post in the Mazhilis (part of the parliament of Kazakhstan) that is chosen by the deputies and are proposed by the Chair of the Mazhilis. The office was established on 30 January 1996 and since 2007, the position of a deputy chairman have been occupied by two people at the same time. The deputy chairman is in charge of carrying out tasks made by the Mäjilis chairman and take over certain roles if the chair isn't able to do. Pavel Olegovich Kazantsev (, ; born 22 March 1960) is a Kazakh politician currently serving as the Deputy Chair of the Mazhilis since 15 January 2021 and as Mazhilis member since 2016. Biography Early life and education Kazantsev was born in 1960 in the city of Tomsk in present-day Russia. Sergey Aleksandorovich Dyachenko (russian: Сергей Александрович Дьяченко) (18 September 1952 – 26 October 2016) was a Kazakh-born Soviet politician. He was Deputy Chairman of Mazhilis from 2012 to 2016, member of the Mazhilis from 2012 to 2016, and Akim of Aktobe Region from 2010 to 2012.
