A Plea For Purging
A Plea for Purging was a Christian metalcore band based out of Nashville, Tennessee. During their time active, they released four full-length albums on Facedown Records and two EPs. Their final release, ''The Life & Death of A Plea for Purging'', reached No. 24 on the US ''Billboard magazine, Billboard'' Rock Albums chart and No. 11 on the Heatseekers chart. Guitarist Blake Martin played on Project 86's record, ''Wait for the Siren'' and was a touring member for Haste the Day. Drummer Aaron Eckermann was a touring musician for Corpus Christi (band), Corpus Christi. The Devil Wears Prada is an American metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2005. Previously a Christian metalcore band, it consists of members Mike Hranica (vocals, additional guitar), Jeremy DePoyster (rhythm guitar, vocals), Kyle Sipress (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mason Nagy (bass), Jonathan Gering (keyboards, backing vocals), and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums). The band had maintained its original line-up until keyboardist James Baney left the band. Dave Quiggle is an American guitarist in the hardcore punk genre. He played for various projects such as xDISCIPLEx A.D., No Innocent Victim, Shockwave, and Jesus Wept. Attack Attack! is an American metalcore band from Westerville, Ohio, originally formed in 2007 as Ambiance, later changing their name. Attack Attack!'s first release, an independent EP titled ''If Guns Are Outlawed, Can We Use Swords?'', was released in 2007, which led to the signing of the band to Rise Records the same year. They released three full-length albums, '' Someday Came Suddenly'', a self-titled album, and '' This Means War'' all through Rise Records. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus.
