Deportivo Pasto
Asociación Deportivo Pasto, also known as Deportivo Pasto, is a Colombian professional football team based in the city of Pasto, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera A. They play their home games at the Estadio Departamental Libertad. Deportivo Pasto is both the southernmost and westernmost based team in the Colombian league. Founded in 1949, Pasto has won the league title once in the 2006 Apertura and finished as runner-up three times: in the 2002 Finalizacion, 2012 Apertura, and 2019 Apertura. The club has also finished runners-up twice in the Copa Colombia: in 2009 and 2012. History The club was founded on 12 October 1949, and was a semi-pro team until 1996. Estadio Departamental Libertad
Estadio Departamental Libertad is a multi-purpose stadium in Pasto, Colombia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Deportivo Pasto. The stadium holds 20,000 people and was built in 1955. In 2007 Pasto qualified for the Copa Libertadores, so the stadium was expanded to fit CONMEBOL requirements. The north stand was expanded, which completed the bowl of the stadium and made every side two tiers since before the renovation the north side was semi-open and had only one tier. In 2019, the seating rows were painted, the lighting was upgraded, the changing rooms were renovated, and a large TV screen was installed. The renovations finished in December 2019. Around $20 million COL were used. Jorge Luis Bernal
Jorge Luis Bernal Caviedes (born 27 September 1952) is a Colombian football manager and former player who played as a forward. He is a current staff member of Patriotas Boyacá. Career Born in Ibagué, Bernal played amateur football in the 1960s, reaching the Tolima regional team in the end of the decade, but had to retire after a severe arm injury. He then created a club named Ariel Armel Arenas in his native neighborhood, and started his coaching career at the club. Bernal subsequently worked at local side Club Deportivo San Simón before joining the youth setup of Deportes Tolima in the late 1970s. In the 1980s, he still managed San Simón while working at Tolima, but left the former in 1986 to work permanently for the latter; shortly after a trip to watch the 1986 FIFA World Cup, he was named manager of Tolima's first team. 2019 Categoría Primera A Season
The 2019 Categoría Primera A season (officially known as the 2019 Liga Águila season for sponsorship reasons) was the 72nd season of Colombia's top-flight football league. The season began on 25 January and concluded on 7 December. 2002 Categoría Primera A Season
The 2002 Categoría Primera A season was the 54th season of Colombia's top-flight football league. Format Starting from this year, the General Assembly of DIMAYOR approved the expansion of the tournament from 16 to 18 teams, adding to the league two of the three DIMAYOR "A-class" associates who were taking part of the Categoría Primera B at the time through a special promotion tournament. In addition to this, the league started awarding two championships per season, thus making the ''Apertura'' and ''Finalización'' tournaments independent championships within a single season. The 2012 Copa Colombia, officially the 2012 Copa Postobón for sponsorship reasons, was the 10th edition of the Copa Colombia, the national cup competition for clubs of DIMAYOR. It began on February 14 and ended on November 7. The tournament comprised a total of 36 teams. The winner earned a berth to the 2013 Copa Sudamericana. Millonarios Fútbol Club is a professional Colombian football team based in Bogotá, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera A. They play their home games at the El Campín stadium. Millonarios was initially created in 1937 by students from the Colegio Mayor de San Bartolomé. After the team initially was unsure about which name it would want to use: Unión and Juventud were originally favoured, it got under the influence of the city administration of Bogotá and operated as ''Club Municipal de Deportes''. Leones F.C., also known as Itagüí Leones, is a professional Colombian football team based in Itagüí playing in the Categoría Primera B starting from 2019. They play their home games at the Estadio Metropolitano Ciudad de Itagüí. Patriotas Boyacá, also known as Patriotas, is a professional Colombian football team based in Tunja, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera B. They play their home games at the La Independencia stadium. History Patriotas was founded in 2003 by the then-governor of Boyacá Miguel Ángel Bermúdez, together with the then Coldeportes chairman and the owners of hardware business G&J. In its first year in the Primera B, the club reached the semifinals, where it was eliminated by Bogotá Chicó. Corporación Deportiva Centauros Villavicencio, was a Colombian football club based in the city of Villavicencio.
